Well it has been an incredible few months! We are finalizing plans for North Texas Pagan Pride Day 2008 and I for one am extremely excited about this years festival! I hope that you will be able to make it out and enjoy at least part of the day with us.
Here are the details:
North Texas Pagan Pride Day
www.ntxppd.org
Unitarian Universalist Church of Oak Cliff
3839 W. Kiest Blvd
September 13, 2008
10am – 10pm
Visitor parking will be across the street at the Cliffwood Church of Christ. The west parking lot will be reserved for vendor parking and the east parking lot will be reserved for handicapped parking and performers.
For vendors and volunteers setup will begin at 9am.
Do you think you have the greatest chili in the metroplex? Bring a pot and we’ll test it out! Judging happens at 2pm in the Main Hall kitchen. After the judging we will offer bowls of chili to be purchased for $3 a bowl with all the fixings. Check the website for details on categories.
We have several workshops and performances to choose from as well as many vendors to make your shopping heart glad. All the details are available on the website. The schedule of events has been uploaded to the website as well.
There will be a raffle going on, must be present to win. We will do 2 drawings during the day. There will be a silent auction as well. Last bids will be taken at 7pm and winners will be announced at 8pm. Purchase price is due at this time. We will have Pagan Pride bracelets for sale as well as FEED the PIG stations set up. In addition to all of that (whew! Yes there is more!) we will be taking orders for a North Texas Pagan Pride Day t-shirt. The shirts will be black with our wonderful new logo in green. The cost for the shirts will be $20. Expect a possible 6 week turn around.
We would also like to ask that, if you are able, bring a case of water or a couple bags of ice to donate to the water stations located throughout the event. And don’t forget your food donations for the North Texas Food Bank. Be sure to check out the websites of our featured charities. They need our help!
To bring what I know is going to be an awesome day to an end we will pack everything up around 7pm and bring out the instruments and commence to drumming and dancing. There will be spinning performances happening during the drum jam so it should be very exciting!
